Anticipation!
I love having something to look forward to…vacations, birthdays, holidays, even worship each Sunday. Over the years I have found that anticipation is a huge motivator for me in so many ways. And anticipation for life to return to normal here at 34th & Farnam has me counting the days until we kick off a year full of fun! (T-61 days!)
Over the past month I have met with various ministry teams and we have begun to plan for a return to church in the Fall. So many fun conversations and grand plans are in the works…the anticipation level is off the chart!
You will have to wait with great anticipation to hear about our plans, but until then I hope you will find ways to renew our call to be “A Community called by God to Worship, Grow and Serve!”
Community: Coffee Fellowship every Sunday following worship; as well as some impromptu gatherings simply celebrating being together!
Worship: August brings some wonderful opportunities to worship together including our annual Blessings of the Backpacks and Service Sunday.
Grow: Weekly Bible studies, monthly prayer time on the second Sunday, book club discussion, and more.
Serve: Our Hand-up food pantry is back to normal indoor operations on Thursdays. We continue to collect backpacks and school supplies for Kellom school. We will be leading worship and serving a meal for Crossroads Connection August 1 and Service Sunday is August 22.
I am super excited for what is in store this fall. New opportunities to be together as a community as we worship, grow and serve! Blessings, Pastor Jenni
