Lazy days…

For the first time in a very long time I am no longer a student! All my school work is complete and I can enjoy summer without the dread of having to study, read another boring book or write a paper…what a relief! In this new stage in life I am finding myself enjoying the slow, lazy days of summer in a new way…reading a book for fun, reconnecting with friends, finishing some quilting projects that were set aside and spending more time with God in the quiet of the day.

I am often amazed at how smooth a day can be when it is started with a little bit of quality time with God…nothing big – reading a few verses of scripture, praying, and probably for me that most important thing listening to what God has to say. This month we are starting a new sermon series and Bible study using the Bible study The God We can Know. I am looking forward to this study as yet another opportunity to deepen my relationship with the great I AM. I hope that you will consider participating in this series or the Esther Bible study that is taking place on Tuesday mornings.
