Diving into 2019 

Well, it is hard to believe that 2018 is officially in the history books and 2019 is a blank page waiting to be written on. It is always an exciting thing the start of a new year! A new opportunity to write our story as we travel another year around the sun! 

So, what are you diving into this New Year? What resolution are you making? How are you going to go deeper in your faith and further into community in 2019? 

My challenge to you this year is to Go Deep – find a way to deepen your faith. If I may make a few suggestions…maybe grab a friend and read through the Bible this year. Or find a way to serve whether in the Food Pantry or visiting with people in a nursing home. Maybe you would like to write an entry for our Lenten devotional. Or perhaps you can participate in one of our many wonderful Bible study opportunities where you can both go deeper in your faith and further into community. These small group studies take place during Sunday morning at 9 am, Tuesday morning at 10:30 am, and Wednesday afternoon/evening at 4:30/6:30. But I am always willing to get a new group started if those times don’t work for your schedule – gather a few friends and let’s start another group! 

We are all drawn in, to go deeper, and deeper still. Friends, there is no time in our lives when we have reached the point where we can’t go deeper. There is always more to explore, more to experience, more to gain! So, how have you gone deeper lately? Deeper in your faith? Further into community? How will 2019 be the year that you go Deeper? I am excited about all the wonderful opportunities we have planned as the new year begins for all of us to go Deeper. I hope you will join in this adventure and see how deep you can go.
