Ash Wednesday

YOU are invited to attend First Presbyterian Church during the 2017 Lenten Season.  It will begin on Wednesday, March 1 with Ash Wednesday.  A free-will offering meal will be served beginning at 5:45 pm until 6:25 pm.  Then at 6:30 pm our Ash Wednesday service will begin.  You may attend the meal or just come for the service.

This is a special service as we receive a cross of ashes on our foreheads from our pastors, a brief message is given, communion is served to all those who believe in God, and then the cross is cleaned off by our pastors signifying the forgiveness of our sins through the dying and rising of Jesus from the dead.

You are encouraged to attend our services as they are family friendly, and we offer many activities during this season or the next 40 days until Easter.  After Ash Wednesday, a Lenten Service  at 6:30 pm will happen every Wednesday until Holy Week, which is the week preceding Easter and the last week of Lent.  See you on Wednesdays!
