Blue Christmas Service and Luncheon

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

John 1:5 

The Christmas season can be difficult for those of us experiencing loneliness, sadness and loss. We can feel singled out by the programmed happiness of “the most wonderful time of the year.” But we are not alone. As the hymn states, the hopes and fears of all the years are met in him,” Jesus, Immanuel, God with us. Many people experience at least some sadness and loss in this season. 

With this thought in mind we will be hosting our annual Blue Christmas Service on Saturday December 15, at 11:30 a.m. This gathering will be an opportunity to be with others who struggle during the holidays and to support each other through time together in prayer, worship and remembrance with a lunch served following the service.
