Adult Discipleship – Better Together
Better Together
I am always amazed at how quickly time flies and in a few weeks something that for the last few years I have been planning and saving for will be over in the blink of an eye. For the past 18 months my sister and I have been planning my trip to Scotland to visit her. I love to travel. I love to see new places and ex-
plore new things. But, I enjoy traveling with someone else…someone who knows the language or the culture or the best places to visit off the beaten path. Let’s face it life is so much better together! The world isn’t quite as big or scary when you have a company on the journey.
The same could be said I believe for our spiritual journey. There are so many opportunities we have to share life together and learn from those around us. I don’t mean just those that have been around the block a few times but also those that are still learning to walk. Each of us are in different phases of our spiritual journey and all of us can learn something about the journey from being with others.
So what steps are you taking to be together with others in your faith journey? How are you connecting with others in our church family as well as outside of the walls of the building?
I continue to look forward to all that God has in store for us this year as we Worship Together weekly; Grow Together in our faith journey; do Life Together in fellowship as a congregation; Serve Together in our church and in our community; and intentionally take time to Pray Together. I hope that you will seek out an opportuni- ty this Fall to be Together with others.
Blessings,
Pastor Jenni
